Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

1). The Peshitta translation is the only one that comes from this angle this early in the chapter. It is included in all translations only after the subject of marriage is included.

7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

1). Perry Stone: Since fornication was prominent at the church of Corinth, Paul penned this section of his epistle to  instruct the married and unmarried in the congregation. The admonition not to “touch” a woman is better rendered not to attach oneself to a woman. However, to prevent sexual sin (! Corinthians 7:2, a man could marry a wife and a wife marry a husband.
