And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

1. “And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood...”

1). This priesthood is everlasting meaning it will continue for eternity.

2. “...because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.”

a. because [Strong: 8478 tachath, takh'-ath; from the same as H8430; the bottom (as depressed); only adverbially, below (often with prepositional prefix underneath), in lieu of, etc.:—as, beneath, × flat, in(-stead), (same) place (where...is), room, for...sake, stead of, under, × unto, × when...was mine, whereas, (where-) fore, with.]
