Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

a. NLT: The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

b. NIV: For you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

c. YLT: Receiving the end of your faith -- salvation of souls;

d. Amplified Bible Classic: [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

e. Worrell Translation: Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of souls.

f. Wuest Translation: Upon the occasion of your receiving the promised consummation of your faith which is the [final] salvation of your souls.

1. “Receiving the end of your faith…”

a. receiving [Strong: 2865 komizo kom-id'-zo; properly, to provide for, i.e. (by implication) to carry off (as if from harm; genitive case obtain):--bring, receive.] [Zodhiates: to take for oneself, to bear, or to bring for oneself, acquire,, obtain, receive.]

b. the [Strong: 3588 ho ho, including the feminine he hay, and the neuter to to in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.]

c. end [Strong: 5056 telos tel'-os from a primary tello (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly, the point aimed at as a limit, i.e. (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination (literally, figuratively or indefinitely), result (immediate, ultimate or prophetic), purpose); specially, an impost or levy (as paid):--+ continual, custom, end(-ing), finally, uttermost.]

d. of your [Strong: 5216 humon hoo-mone' genitive case of 5210; of (from or concerning) you:--ye, you, your (own, -selves).]

e. faith [Strong: 4102 pistis pis'-tis from 3982; persuasion, i.e. credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly, constancy in such profession; by extension, the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:--assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.]

1). A fundamental and vital characteristic of prayer and faith is believing you have received what you have prayed for.

 a). Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

2). Paul relates the same principle in his letter to the Romans when speaking of salvation.

a). Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

2.  “…even the salvation of your souls.”

a. b. [of your] souls [Strong: 5590 psuche psoo-khay'; breath, i.e. (by implication) spirit, abstractly or concretely (the animal sentient principle only; thus distinguished on the one hand from 4151, which is the rational and immortal soul; and on the other from 2222, which is mere vitality, even of plants: these terms thus exactly correspond respectively to the Hebrew 5315, 7307 and 2416):--heart (+ -ily), life, mind, soul, + us, + you.][Zodhiates: Soul, that immaterial part of man hold in common with animals.]
