Jeremiah 25:11

And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

Footnote in Classic Amplified:  As both sacred and secular history show, this prophecy was approximately literally fulfilled, whether it refers to the duration of the Babylonian Empire (with its heyday from the beginning of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign in 605 b.c. till its downfall in 539), or to the length of the Jewish captivity in Babylon (with the first deportation in 605 b.c. and the first return in 538).

d. Septuagint: And all the land shall be a desolation; and they shall serve among the Gentiles seventy years.

1. “And this whole land shall be a desolation waste, and an astonishment…”

2. “...and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.”

f. years [Strong: 8141  shâneh, shaw-neh'; (in plural or (feminine) שָׁנָה shânâh; from H8138; a year (as a revolution of time):— whole age, × long, old, year(× -ly).]
