Jeremiah 40:2
And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

1). Dake: Jeremiah according to this, led captive along with the other prisoners in chains to Ramah where they were collected and examined. He was singled out and separated from all the others because of his predictions against Jerusalem and Judah which were favorable to the king of Babylon in this war.
2). These words spoken to Jeremiah by Nebuzaradan were what Jeremiah had been pronouncing from God for a long while (Jeremiah 5:14-17). There is no doubt that the Babylonian army including king Nebuchadrezzar had heard of these prophecies of Jeremiah.
