Isaiah 60:19
The sun shall be no more thy light by day;
neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall
be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
a. NLT: “No longer will you need the sun to shine by
day, nor the moon to give its light by night, for the LORD your God will be
your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
b. NIV: The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your
everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

thee no more is the sun for a light by day, And for brightness the moon giveth

2. “…but the LORD shall be unto
thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.”

1). The context of this verse is found to take place
after the second coming of Christ and after the Millenial reign of Christ.
a). Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the
sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it,
and the Lamb is the light thereof.
b). Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night
there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God
giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
