Colossians 3:3

Colossians 3:3

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

a. NLT: For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.

b. NIV: For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

c. YLT: For ye did die, and your life hath been hid with the Christ in God;

1. “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

a. For [Strong: 1063 gar gar a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles):--and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet.]

b. ye are dead [Strong: 599 apothnesko ap-oth-nace'-ko from 575 and 2348; to die off (literally or figuratively):--be dead, death, die, lie a-dying, be slain (X with).]
