Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

1. “Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.”

a. Salute [Strong: 782 aspázomai, as-pad'-zom-ahee; from G1 (as a particle of union) and a presumed form of G4685; to enfold in the arms, i.e. (by implication) to salute, (figuratively) to welcome:—embrace, greet, salute, take leave.]

b. Rufus [Strong: 4504 Rhoûphos, hroo'-fos; of Latin origin; red; Rufus, a Christian:—Rufus.]

c. chosen [Strong: 1588 eklektós, ek-lek-tos'; from G1586; select; by implication, favorite:—chosen, elect.]
