Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

1. “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!...”

1). Obedience to the word gies live to our bones.

a).  Proverbs 3:7, 8 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

2). Sin can enter into our bones. 

a). Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

b). Psalm 109:18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

c). Ezekiel 32:27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

3). The uncleanness, hypocrisy and iniquity had entered into their bones.
