After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

1). What is interesting is that, what Paul said is exactly what happened. After he went to Jerusalem he did go to Rome, except there was a two year interruption when he got arrested and spent two years in a Caesarean jail. But he did go to Rome after he went to Jerusalem.
