And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.

1. “And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.”

And [Strong: 2532. kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

b. [when they were] escaped [Strong: 1295. diasozo dee-as-odze'-o from 1223 and 4982; to save thoroughly, i.e. (by implication or analogy) to cure, preserve, rescue, etc.:--bring safe, escape (safe), heal, make perfectly whole, save.]
