And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

1. “And he commanded us to preach unto the people…”

a. And [Strong: 2532 * kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

b. [he] commanded [Strong: 3853. paraggello par-ang-gel'-lo from 3844 and the base of 32; to transmit a message, i.e. (by implication) to enjoin:--(give in) charge, (give) command(-ment), declare.]
