Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

1. “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

a. Humble [yourselves] [Strong: 5013 tapeinóō, tap-i-no'-o; from G5011; to depress; figuratively, to humiliate (in condition or heart):—abase, bring low, humble (self).]

b. [in the] sight [Strong: 1799 enṓpion, en-o'-pee-on; neuter of a compound of G1722 and a derivative of G3700; in the face of (literally or figuratively):—before, in the presence (sight) of, to.]
