Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

1. “Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb…” 

a. Thus [Strong: 3541 kôh, ko; from the prefix k and H1931; properly, like this, i.e. by implication, (of manner) thus (or so); also (of place) here (or hither); or (of time) now:—also, here, hitherto, like, on the other side, so (and much), such, on that manner, (on) this (manner, side, way, way and that way), mean while, yonder.]

f. [from the] womb [Strong: 990 beṭen, beh'-ten; from an unused root probably meaning to be hollow; the belly, especially the womb; also the bosom or body of anything:—belly, body, as they be born, within, womb.]

1). David received a wonderful revelation of the forming of the infant in the womb. Job mentions the wonderful wisdom that the LORD used in designing the organs of the human body.

a). Psalm 139:13-16  For you formed my inward parts;  you knitted me together in my mother's womb.

139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

139:15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret,     intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

139:6 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

b). Job 38:36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

2. “...I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone…”

[that] stretcheth forth [Strong: 5186 nâṭâh, naw-taw'; a primitive root; to stretch or spread out; by implication, to bend away (including moral deflection); used in a great variety of application (as follows):— afternoon, apply, bow (down, -ing), carry aside, decline, deliver, extend, go down, be gone, incline, intend, lay, let down, offer, outstretched, overthrown, pervert, pitch, prolong, put away, shew, spread (out), stretch (forth, out), take (aside), turn (aside, away), wrest, cause to yield.]

f. [the] heavens [Strong: 8064 shâmayim, shaw-mah'-yim; dual of an unused singular שָׁמֶה shâmeh; from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve):—air, × astrologer, heaven(-s).]

g. alone [Strong: 905 bad, bad; from H909; properly, separation; by implication, a part of the body, branch of a tree, bar for carrying; figuratively, chief of a city; especially (with prepositional prefix) as an adverb, apart, only, besides:—alone, apart, bar, besides, branch, by self, of each alike, except, only, part, staff, strength.]

1). Job mentions the the ordinances or orbits of the constellations in the night sky. Though he probably did not know of them, there are thousands of galaxies that pepper the space between the stars of those constellations.

a). Job 38:31:33 “Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the belt of Orion?

38:32 Can you bring out Mazzaroth in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs?

33 Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?

2). The ordinances/orbits of all the stars and galaxies in all the universe were designed by the LORD God at creation.

a). Jeremiah 31:35, 36 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:

31:36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

3.  “...that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;”

a. [that] spreadeth abroad [Strong: 7554 râqaʻ, raw-kah'; a primitive root; to pound the earth (as a sign of passion); by analogy to expand (by hammering); by implication, to overlay (with thin sheets of metal):—beat, make broad, spread abroad (forth, over, out, into plates), stamp, stretch.]

b. [the] earth [Strong: 776 ʼerets, eh'-rets; from an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land):—× common, country, earth, field, ground, land, × nations, way, + wilderness, world.]

c. [by] myself [Strong: 854 ʼêth, ayth; probably from H579; properly, nearness (used only as a preposition or an adverb), near; hence, generally, with, by, at, among, etc.:—against, among, before, by, for, from, in(-to), (out) of, with. Often with another prepositional prefix.]

1). The LORD exhibited wonderful wisdom in creation. He measured the water and dust on the earth, and weighed the mountains.

a). Isaiah 40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

2). Henry M. Morris, in his book, The Biblical Basis Of Modern Science, quotes physicist and mathematician Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac on the mathematical order of the universe: “There is one other line along which one can still proceed by theoretical means. It seems to be one of the fundamental features of nature that fundamental physical laws are described in terms of mathematical theory of great beauty and power, needing quite a high standard of mathematics for one to understand it. You may wonder: Why is nature so constructed along these lines? One can only answer that our present knowledge seems to show that nature is so constructed. We simply have to accept it. One could perhaps describe the situation by saying that God is a mathematician on a very high order, and He used very advanced mathematics in constructing the universe. Our feeble attempts at mathematics enable us to understand a bit of the universe, and as we proceed to develop higher and higher mathematics we can hope to understand the universe better.”
