Exodus 36:1-4
Then
wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put
wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service
of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded.
And
Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart
the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto
the work to do it:
And
they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had
brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And
they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.
And
all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man
from his work which they made;
a. After Bezaleel and Aholiab gathered
together the group of men who God stirred up to build the Tabernacle, Moses
called them all together and gave them all the materials the children of Israel
freely offered. All the supplies the men would need.
b. The original offering is recorded earlier
in Exodus.
1). Exodus 25:1-9 And the Lord spake unto
Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they
bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye
shall take my offering.
And this is the offering which ye shall take
of them; gold, and silver, and brass,
And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine
linen, and goats' hair,
And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins,
and shittim wood,
Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil,
and for sweet incense,
Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the
ephod, and in the breastplate.
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may
dwell among them.
According to all that I shew thee, after the
pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even
so shall ye make it.
2). All of this wealth was gotten when they
left Egypt, because before that, they were slaves who had nothing.
a). Exodus 12:33-36 And the Egyptians were
urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for
they said, We be all dead men.
And the people took their dough before it was
leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their
shoulders.
And the children of Israel did according to
the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and
jewels of gold, and raiment:
And the Lord gave the people favour in the
sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they
required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
