Genesis 18:25
That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the
righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that
be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the do right?
a. NLT: Surely you
wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why,
you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you
wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”
b. NIV: Far
be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked,
treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the
Judge of all the earth do right?”
c. YLT: Far
be it from Thee to do according to this thing, to put to death the righteous
with the wicked; that it hath been -- as the righteous so the wicked -- far be
it from Thee; doth the Judge of all the earth not do justice?'
d. Amplified Bible: Far
be it from You to do such a thing—to slay the righteous with the wicked, so
that the righteous fare as do the wicked! Far be it from You! Shall not the
Judge of all the earth execute judgment and do righteously?
e. Septuagint: By
no means shalt thou do as this thing [is] so as to destroy the righteous with
the wicked, so the righteous shall be as the wicked: by no means. Thou that
judgest the whole earth, shalt thou not do right?
f. Stone Edition Chumash: It would
be sacrilege to You to do such a thing, to bring death upon the righteous along
with the wicked; so sthe righteous will be like the wicked. It would be
sacrilege to You! Shall the Judge of all the earth not do justice?”

1). God is the Judge of the earth
and He will do right. Here is a few of the passages that describe all of us
standing before God at one time or another.
a). Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw
a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the
heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
20:12 And I saw the dead, small
and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was
opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things
which were written in the books, according to their works.
20:13 And the sea gave up the dead
which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them:
and they were judged every man according to their works.
20:14 And death and hell were cast
into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
20:15 And whosoever was not found
written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
b). Daniel 7:9, 10 I beheld till
the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was
white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like
the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
7:10 A fiery stream issued and
came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten
thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the
books were opened.
c). 2 Corinthians 5:9, 10 Wherefore
we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
5:10 For we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his
body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
