Genesis 18:6

Genesis 18:6

And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

a. NLT: So Abraham ran back to the tent and said to Sarah, “Hurry! Get three large measures of your best flour, knead it into dough, and bake some bread.”

b. NIV: So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”

c. YLT: And Abraham hasteth towards the tent, unto Sarah, and saith, 'Hasten three measures of flour-meal, knead, and make cakes;'

d. Amplified Bible: So Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah and said, Quickly get ready three measures of fine meal, knead it, and bake cakes.

e. Septuagint: And Abraam hasted to the tent to Sarrha, and said to her, Hasten, and knead three measures of fine flour, and make cakes.

1). Three cakes for three individuals, the Lord God and two angels. What a fellowship, that God would come to dine with us.

a). Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in and sup with him, and he with me.
