1 Kings 18:26

And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

1. “And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it…”

3. “...saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered…”

4. “...And they leaped upon the altar which was made.”

1). This went on for at least a couple of hours, to the point where they began to try to show their devotion by leaping on the altar. But this was not the end of their efforts because as the Scriptures will reveal it went on until the time of the evening sacrifice, for at least four or five more hours.
