Romans 14:23

And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

a. ASV: But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

  

b. YLT: And he who is making a difference, if he may eat, hath been condemned, because it is not of faith; and all that is not of faith is sin.

d. Amplified Bible Classic: But the man who has doubts (misgivings, an uneasy conscience) about eating, and then eats [perhaps because of you], stands condemned [before God], because he is not true to his convictions and he does not act from faith. For whatever does not originate and proceed from faith is sin [whatever is done without a conviction of its approval by God is sinful].

1. “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith…”

d. if [Strong: 1437 eán, eh-an'; from G1487 and G302; a conditional particle; in case that, provided, etc.; often used in connection with other particles to denote indefiniteness or uncertainty:—before, but, except, (and) if, (if) so, (what-, whither-)soever, though, when (-soever), whether (or), to whom, (who-)so(-ever).]

e. [he] eat [Strong: 5315 phágō, fag'-o; a primary verb (used as an alternate of G2068 in certain tenses); to eat (literally or figuratively):—eat, meat.]

  

g. because [Strong: hóti, hot'-ee; neuter of G3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because:—as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why.]

2.  “...for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”
