Exodus 12:20

Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

a. ASV: Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

b. YLT: Anything fermented ye do not eat, in all your dwellings ye do eat unleavened things.'

c. Classic Amplified: You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwellings you shall eat unleavened bread [during that week].

1. “Ye shall eat nothing leavened…”

d. 4682 matstsah mats-tsaw' from 4711 in the sense of greedily devouring for sweetness; properly, sweetness; concretely, sweet (i.e. not soured or bittered with yeast); specifically, an unfermented cake or loaf, or (elliptically) the festival of Passover (because no leaven was then used):--unleaved (bread, cake), without leaven.]
