Galatians 3:15

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

a. ASV: Brethren, I speak after the manner of men: Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet when it hath been confirmed, no one maketh it void, or addeth thereto.

b. YLT: Brethren, as a man I say it, even of man a confirmed covenant no one doth make void or doth add to,

c. Classic Amplified: To speak in terms of human relations, brethren, [if] even a man makes a last will and testament (a merely human covenant), no one sets it aside or makes it void or adds to it when once it has been drawn up and signed (ratified, confirmed).

1. “Brethren, I speak after the manner of men…”

a. Brethren [Strong: 80. adephos ad-el-fos' from 1 (as a connective particle) and delphus (the womb); a brother (literally or figuratively) near or remote (much like 1):--brother.]

b. 2. “...Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.”

a. [Though] it be but [Strong: 3676. homos hom'-oce adverb from the base of 3674; at the same time, i.e. (conjunctionally) notwithstanding, yet still:--and even, nevertheless, though but.]

[no man] disannulleth [Strong: 3762. oudeis oo-dice', including feminine oudemia oo-dem-ee'-ah, and neuter ouden oo-den' from 3761 and 1520; not even one (man, woman or thing), i.e. none, nobody, nothing:--any (man), aught, man, neither any (thing), never (man), no (man), none (+ of these things), not (any, at all, -thing), nought.]
