1). In these verses Matthew 19:4-6, we have the two complementary accounts of the creation of the first man and woman. In Matthew 19:4 Jesus quotes from Genesis 1.
a). Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Adam had already been created and placed in the garden and had begun naming the animals, before Eve was created. It wasn’t until Adam was in the task of naming the animals that Adam realized his need. It was then that Eve was created and given to man.
2). In Matthew 19:5 Jesus is quoting from Genesis 2.
a). Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
3). In Matthew 19:4-6 Jesus was quoting from Genesis 1:27 and 2:24, and considerers them the same event.
