Matthew 19:12

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

a. ASV: For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

b. YLT: For there are eunuchs who from the mother's womb were so born; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who kept themselves eunuchs because of the reign of the heavens: he who is able to receive it -- let him receive.'

c. Classic Amplified: For there are eunuchs who have been born incapable of marriage; and there are eunuchs who have been made so by men; and there are eunuchs who have made themselves incapable of marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let him who is able to accept this accept it.

1. “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb…”

f. born [Strong: 1080. gennao ghen-nah'-o from a variation of 1085; to procreate (properly, of the father, but by extension of the mother); figuratively, to regenerate:--bear, beget, be born, bring forth, conceive, be delivered of, gender, make, spring.]

i. womb [Strong: 2836. koilia koy-lee'-ah from koilos ("hollow"); a cavity, i.e. (especially) the abdomen; by implication, the matrix; figuratively, the heart:--belly, womb.]

1). There are incidents from birth of people being eunuchs, male or female, whether from a psychological or physical reason.

2. “...and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men…”

a. and [Strong: 2532. kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

In the comparative, it retains the same general applications, especially of inferior position or condition, and specially, covertly or moderately.]

g. men [Strong: 444. anthropos anth'-ro-pos from 435 and ops (the countenance; from 3700); man-faced, i.e. a human being:--certain, man.]

1). Examples of men like Daniel and all the other males taken captive by Babylon. After they were brought to Babylon and used in some service for the king, and they were castrated.

1). Jeremiah and John the Baptist would be examples of those who made themselves eunuchs for the king of heaven.

a). Jeremiah 16:1-4 The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,

16:2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.

16:3 For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;

16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

4. “...He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
