Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

1). In this particular verse the translators of the Common English Bible already depart from the text. In the Hebrew text it says the woman does commit adultery and it echoes that in all of the listed translations except the CEB where it says, “A man may suspect that his wife has had an affair”.
