Malachi 2:16
For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

1). A man who insists on retaining the wife he hates is concealing his dislike, as if covering injustice with his garment. You should at least divorce the wives you dislike so that they would be free to remarry (Rashi).
2). The Stone Edition translation and the commentary that goes with it, I believe goes contrary to what all the other translations say, including the other Jewish translation, The Israel Bible.

1). Malachi, David M. Levy: The word “treacherously” is used five times in this section (Malachi 2:10, 11, 14, 15, 16) and means to deal deceitfully or unfaithfully with another. The people were unfaithful in their relationships with God and with their family and friends.
2). 1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
