But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

1). Finis Dake and Perry Stone, men of God I greatly respect, teach that because this mentions buying oil for their lamps that this could not mean the oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Gordon Lindsay, who I also respect, refers to a verse in Revelation 3 telling the Laodicean church to purchase two items that cannot be purchased with money. The gold tried in the fire refers to faith
a). Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
b). 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
2). I am also reminded of a passage in Isaiah 55, that refers to buying thins that cannot be bought with money but rather with consecration and faith.
a). Isaiah 55:1-3 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
