Ezekiel 39:13

Ezekiel 39:13

Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

a. ASV: Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord Jehovah.

b. YLT: Yea, all the people of the land have buried them, and it hath been to them for a name -- the day of My being honoured -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

c. Classic Amplified: Yes, all the people of the land will bury them, and it shall bring them renown in the day that I shall be glorified, says the Lord God.

d. Septuagint: Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a [place] of renown in the day wherein it was glorified, saith the Lord.

1. “Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them…”

a. b. [the] people [Strong: 5971 `am am from 6004; a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock:--folk, men, nation, people.]

c. [of the] land  [Strong: 776 'erets eh'-rets from an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land):--X common, country, earth, field, ground, land, X natins, way, + wilderness, world.]

d. [shall] bury [them] [Strong: 6912 qabar kaw-bar' a primitive root; to inter:--X in any wise, bury(-ier).]

2. “...and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.”

e. saith [Strong: 5002 n'um neh-oom' from 5001; an oracle:--(hath) said, saith.]

f. [the] Lord [Strong: 136 'Adonay ad-o-noy' am emphatic form of 113; the Lord (used as a proper name of God only):--(my) Lord.]

g. GOD [Strong: 3069 Yhovih yeh-ho-vee' a variation of 3068 (used after 136, and pronounced by Jews as 430, in order to prevent the repetition of the same sound, since they elsewhere pronounce 3068 as 136):--God.
