1). The mothering skills of the ostrich are nothing compared to other species that God has created. Elephants are great mothers, Polar Bears are great mothers. It all depends on the wisdom that God has given to each species. It is the same with the hunting skills of a predator and the survival skills of the prey. Solomon was given much wisdom about creation and some of it is written in Proverbs.

a). 1 Kings 4:29-34  And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
4:30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
4:31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
4:32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
4:33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
4:34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

2). The wisdom that God instilled into the animal, plant and the wealth mineral kingdoms were to be a blessing to man. So much so that God told manking to ask the earth, the animals and they would teach us.

a). Job 12:7-10 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
12:8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?
12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

3). Some of Solomon’s proverbs on creature.

a). Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
6:8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
