Job 39:17

Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

1. “Because God hath deprived her of wisdom…”

a. Because [Strong: 3588 kiy kee a primitive particle (the full form of the prepositional prefix) indicating causal relations of all kinds, antecedent or consequent; (by implication) very widely used as a relative conjunction or adverb (as below); often largely modified by other particles annexed:--and, + (forasmuch, inasmuch, where-)as, assured(-ly), + but, certainly, doubtless, + else, even, + except, for, how, (because, in, so, than) that, + nevertheless, now, rightly, seeing, since, surely, then, therefore, + (al- )though, + till, truly, + until, when, whether, while, whom, yea, yet.]

2. “...neither hath he imparted to her understanding.”

c. understanding [Strong: 998 biynah bee-naw' from 995; understanding:--knowledge, meaning, X perfectly, understanding, wisdom.]

 1). When God created the universe, and everything in it, he created it in wisdom and understanding. The wisdom and knowledge behind it are understandable in some examples and in others incomprehensible.

a). Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

2). This includes of course all of the orbits of the planets, solar systems, galaxies. It includes all of the species of animal or insect or plant, and of course man and every organ of his body, down to the wonderful wisdom in the design and operation of every cell, down to the sub-atomic level. The mothering skills of the ostrich are nothing compared to other species that God has created. Elephants are great mothers, Polar Bears are great mothers. It all depends on the wisdom that God has given to each species. It is the same with the hunting skills of a predator and the survival skills of the prey.
