2 Kings 23:20


And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.

1. “And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars…”


a. [And he] slew [Strong: 2076 zabach zaw-bakh' a primitive root; to slaughter an animal (usually in sacrifice):--kill, offer, (do) sacrifice, slay.]

1). 2 Kings 23:15-20 document Josiah’s going into Israel from Judah. Israel had already been removed from the land approximately 100 years earlier by Syria in 722 B.C (2 Kings 17:6; 17:23).
