Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

1. “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils…”

c. drink [Strong: 4095. pino pee'-no, a prolonged form of pio pee'-o, which (together with another form) poo po'-o occurs only as an alternate in certain tenses; to imbibe (literally or figuratively):--drink.]

1). Graven images of gods and goddesses are representations of demons. Israel was commanded that when they entered Canaan they were to destroy them. We are not to bring anything of them into our dwellings..


a). Deuteronomy 7:25, 26 The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therin: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.

7:26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
