1). Oh Hallelujah! We can be outspoken, we can be frank, bold and blunt that if we pray according to his will he hears us, and what comes next is worthy of shouting about. Praise God!

a. whatsoever [Strong: 3739 hós, hos; probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article G3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that:—one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc.]

[ta] ὁ ho ho, including the feminine he hay, and the neuter to to in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.] [Thayer: [ta] ὁ, ἡ, τό, originally τος, τῇ, τό (as is evident from the forms τοι, ται for οἱ, αἱ in Homer and the Ionic writings), corresponds to our definite article the (German der, die, das), which is properly a demonstrative pronoun, which we see in its full force in Homer, and of which we find certain indubitable traces also in all kinds of Greek prose, and hence also in the N. T.] [Additional variants: tē, hoi, oi, tēn, ta, tēs, tois, tais, tō, tōn, tou, Hē, hé  hē, hai, tas.]

1). This is not an isolated passage, it is repeated by Jesus in the gospel of John. Now all of these instances are conditioned upon the will of God.

a). John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

b). John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

2). This is why we can be outspoken about our requests, because we know that if it is the will of God, he hears us and we know we have what we ask.

a). World Outreach Church Daily Devotional 4/1/12: This Scripture promises if you pray in faith according to God’s will, you can have whatever you ask for. God Himself has promised He will hear you and answer you. Your part is to pray according to God’s will and to pray in faith. How can you pray according to God’s will? That’s easy. God’s Word is His will, and from cover to cover, the Bible proclaims healing legally belongs to you. The prayer of faith is how you take hold of your healing. You see, all prayers must be prayed in faith because faith is the currency that receives from heaven. You pray in faith by believing you receive your answer at the very moment you pray—even in the face of symptoms and circumstances. Mark 11:24 says, “…What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them….” Notice you don’t keep requesting your petition over and over again. Think about it. Why would you ask again, if you really believe you have received? In fact, 20th century apostle of faith Smith Wigglesworth said if you pray for something seven times, the first six were in unbelief. So meditate on Scriptures that cover your case until your heart is filled with God’s will. Then lock onto your petition in faith and watch God deliver your answer.

b). World Outreach Church Daily Devotional 2/7/13 Though physical healing is a great need in the body of Christ today, the greatest hindrance is not knowing that God is willing to heal. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” The marginal note in my Bible says the word destroyed literally means “cut off.” So that Scripture could be rendered, “For a lack of knowledge people are cut off from the blessings of God.” If we don’t know God is willing to heal us, we are cut off from His blessings of healing and health. You see, faith must have a foundation. In order to confidently receive what Jesus purchased and provided for us, we must know it’s our Father’s desire to give it to us. God wants us to come boldly to the throne of grace to receive the healing we need. (Heb. 4:16.) That kind of boldness comes only from strong faith—a faith born of knowing the Father’s willingness to heal.

3). A fundamental truth here is that His will on earth is the same as it is in heaven. If he wants us healed in heaven, then he wants us healed on earth.

a). Matthew 6:9, 10 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
