Leviticus 18:2

Leviticus 18:2

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.

a. NLT: “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. I am the LORD your God.

b. NIV: “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the LORD your God.

c. Amplified Bible: Say to the Israelites, I am the Lord your God.

d. Septuagint: Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, I [am] the Lord your God.

1. “Speak unto the children of Israel…”

a. 2. “…and say unto them…”

3. “…I am the LORD your God.”

b. God [430 * 'elohiym] [Strong: plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:--angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.]
