Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.

1. “Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land…”

a. 1). The Hebrew word for plague is used for any sickness or disease or even a swarm of insects, lice. It is used for some of the maladies that God inflicted upon Egypt. It is used for a variety of maladies that would be healed in Leviticus 13. The plague that these men died from is not described.
