Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

1. “Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”

n. Jesus [Strong: 2424. Iesous ee-ay-sooce' of Hebrew origin (3091); Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites:--Jesus.
1). Victor Buksbazen, The Prophet Isaiah: Generally there is little difference between Jewish an Christian translations of this majestic passage of Isaih, apart from a few words of secondary importance. However, there is a profound and basic difference in the interpretation of the text.Ancient jewish tradition has for many centuries seen in Isaiah 53 the portrait of the suffering servant of God, the Messiah, a view which is still held to this day by most orthodox Jews. However, at the end of the 11th century A.D., Jewish commentators began to assert that Isaiah hand in mind Israel who suffers innocently for the sins of all nations.

3). The passage that the eunuch was reading was Isaiah 53:7, 8. If you notice the “version” that the eunuch was reading from was the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the hebrew Bible.
a). Isaiah 53:7, 8 [KJV] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
b). Acts 8:32, 33 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
8:33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
c). Isaiah 53:7, 8 [Septuagint] And he, because of his affliction, opens not his mouth: he was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is dumb, so he opens not his mouth. 8 In [his] humiliation his judgment was taken away: who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken away from the earth: because of the iniquities of my people he was led to death.
4). As the passage in Acts continues the eunuch asked Philip who is the person that the prophet was speaking about and Philip went on to say it was about Christ Jesus.

8:33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
8:34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
