And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

1). The Exodus Case, Dr. Lennart Moller: After journeying further, the people of Israel come to Elim. Elim was a place with 70 palms trees and twelve springs of water (Exodus 15:27). Today there are several hundred palm trees and 12 wells at an oasis in the area where travelling…In this oasis the 12 wells are still in use. The palm trees found in this oasis are rare for the region. When they depart from Elim they have travelled for 30 days, since they departed on the 15th day of the first month, and depart from Elim on the 15th day of the second month.
