 Deuteronomy 10:6

And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

2. “...there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.”

1). The locations of the death of Aaron are just two different names of the same place or area.


a). Numbers 20:22-29  And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.

20:23 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,

20:24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

20:25 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:

20:26 And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.

20:27 And Moses did as the Lord commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.

20:28 And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.

20:29 And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.


b). Numbers 33:37-39 37 And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

33:38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the Lord, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

33:39 And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.


c). Deuteronomy 10:6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

i. [in] his stead [Strong: 8478 tachath takh'-ath from the same as 8430; the bottom (as depressed); only adverbially, below (often with prepositional prefix underneath), in lieu of, etc.:--as, beneath, X flat, in(-stead), (same) place (where...is), room, for...sake, stead of, under, X unto, X when...was mine, whereas, (where-)fore, with.]
