1. “And it shall come to pass in that day, I will
hear, saith the LORD…”
a. it shall come to pass [Strong: 1961 * hayah haw-yaw a primitive root
(Compare 1933); to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and
not a mere copula or auxiliary):--beacon, X altogether, be(-come),
accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall,
+ follow, happen, X have, last, pertain, quit (one-)self, require, X use.]

c. I will hear [Strong: * 6030 `anah aw-naw' a
primitive root; properly, to eye or (generally) to heed, i.e. pay attention; by
implication, to respond; by extens. to begin to speak; specifically to sing,
shout, testify, announce:--give account, afflict (by mistake for 6031), (cause
to, give) answer, bring low (by mistake for 6031), cry, hear, Leannoth, lift
up, say, X scholar, (give a) shout, sing (together by course), speak, testify,

d. saith [Strong: 5002 * n'um neh-oom' from 5001;

1961; (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of
God:--Jehovah, the Lord.]
2. “…I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear
the earth;”
a. I will hear [Strong: * 6030 `anah aw-naw' a
primitive root; properly, to eye or (generally) to heed, i.e. pay attention; by
implication, to respond; by extens. to begin to speak; specifically to sing,
shout, testify, announce:--give account, afflict (by mistake for 6031), (cause

b. the heavens [Strong: 8064 * shamayim
shaw-mah'-yim dual of an unused singular shameh {shaw-meh'}; from an unused
root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the
visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the
celestial bodies revolve):--air, X astrologer, heaven(-s).]
1). Many of the commentators refer back to Hosea 2:9-12
and point to passages of rain and blessing. Passages that mention the “heavens”
in particular.
a). Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and
the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and
maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to
the eater:
b). Zechariah 8:12 For the seed shall be
prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her
increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of
this people to possess all these things.
c. and they [Strong: 1992 * hem haym or (prolonged)
hemmah {haym'-maw}; masculine plural from 1981; they (only used when
emphatic):--it, like, X (how, so) many (soever, more as) they (be), (the) same,
X so, X such, their, them, these, they, those, which, who, whom, withal, ye.]
d. shall hear [Strong: * 6030 `anah aw-naw' a
primitive root; properly, to eye or (generally) to heed, i.e. pay attention; by
implication, to respond; by extens. to begin to speak; specifically to sing,
shout, testify, announce:--give account, afflict (by mistake for 6031), (cause
to, give) answer, bring low (by mistake for 6031), cry, hear, Leannoth, lift
up, say, X scholar, (give a) shout, sing (together by course), speak, testify,
utter, (bear) witness.]
e. the earth [Strong: 776 * 'erets eh'-rets from an
unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a
land):--X common, country, earth, field, ground, land, X natins, way, +
wilderness, world.]
1). Looking at Hosea 2:21, 22 that God initiates
complete spiritual and natural renewal in creation by removing the curse (Hosea
2:19). This in effect causes a “communicating” a working in unity of creation.
It will be a reversal of the effects of the fall on the natural universe.
a). Genesis 3:14-19 And the Lord God said unto
the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and
above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt
thou eat all the days of thy life:
3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the
woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou
shalt bruise his heel.
3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly
multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth
children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast
hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I
commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy
sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth
to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,
till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou
art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
b). Hosea 4:1-3 Hear the word of the Lord, ye
children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the
land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and
stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one
that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with
the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
c). Romans 8:19-22 For the earnest expectation
of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity,
not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be
delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children
of God.
8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth
and travaileth in pain together until now.
