Romans 2:26

Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

1. “Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law…”

d. uncircumcision [Strong: 203 akrobustia ak-rob-oos-tee'-ah from 206 and probably a modified form of posthe (the penis or male sexual organ); the prepuce; by implication, an uncircumcised (i.e. gentile, figuratively, unregenerate) state or person:--not circumcised, uncircumcised (with 2192), uncircumcision.]

e. keep [Strong: 5442 phulasso foo-las'-so probably from 5443 through the idea of isolation; to watch, i.e. be on guard (literally of figuratively); by implication, to preserve, obey, avoid:--beward, keep (self), observe, save.]

g. righteousness [Strong: 1345 dikaioma dik-ah'-yo-mah from 1344; an equitable deed; by implication, a statute or decision:--judgment, justification, ordinance, righteousness.]

i. law [Strong: 3551 nomos nom'-os from a primary nemo (to parcel out, especially food or grazing to animals); law (through the idea of prescriptive usage), genitive case (regulation), specially, (of Moses (including the volume); also of the Gospel), or figuratively (a principle):--law.]

     

2. “…shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?”
