Romans 3:27

 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

1. “Where is boasting then? It is excluded…”

a. Where [Strong: 4226 pou poo genitive case of an interrogative pronoun pos (what) otherwise obsolete (perhaps the same as 4225 used with the rising slide of inquiry); as adverb of place; at (by implication, to) what locality:--where, whither.]

b. [is] boasting [2746 kauchesis kow'-khay-sis from 2744; boasting (properly, the act; by implication, the object), in a good or a bad sense:--boasting, whereof I may glory, glorying, rejoicing.]

c. then [Strong: 3767 oun oon apparently a primary word; (adverbially) certainly, or (conjunctionally) accordingly:--and (so, truly), but, now (then), so (likewise then), then, therefore, verily, wherefore.]

d. it is excluded [Strong: 1576 ekkleio ek-kli'-o from 1537 and 2808; to shut out (literally or figuratively):--exclude.]

2. “…By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.”
