And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

1. “And he continued there a year and six months

a. And [Strong: 5037. te teh a primary particle (enclitic) of connection or addition; both or also (properly, as correlation of 2532):--also, and, both, even, then, whether. Often used in composition, usually as the latter participle.]

b. [he] continued [there] [Strong: 2523. kathizo kath-id'-zo another (active) form for 2516; to seat down, i.e. set (figuratively, appoint); intransitively, to sit (down); figuratively, to settle (hover, dwell):--continue, set, sit (down), tarry.]

c. [a] year [Strong: 1763. eniautos en-ee-ow-tos' prolongation from a primary enos (a year); a year:--year.]

1). The Acts of the Apostles, Robert A. Tourville: Paul settled there for 18 months. This was the second longest stay in any city recorded. His word was teaching the Word of God. The primary work is directed toward edification.
