1 Corinthians 16:16


That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

1. “That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.”


a. That [Strong: 2443 hína, hin'-ah; probably from the same as the former part of G1438 (through the demonstrative idea; compare G3588); in order that (denoting the purpose or the result):—albeit, because, to the intent (that), lest, so as, (so) that, (for) to.]


b. ye [Strong: 5210 humĕis, hoo-mice'; irregular plural of G4771; you (as subjective of verb):—ye (yourselves), you.]


c. submit yourselves [Strong: 5293 hupŏtassō, hoop-ot-as'-so; from G5259 and G5021; to subordinate; reflexively, to obey:—be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto.]


d. [Strong: 3588.
