Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

i. Sihon [Strong: 5511 Ciychown see-khone' or Ciychon {see-khone'}; from the same as 5477; tempestuous; Sichon, an Amoritish king:--Sihon.]

j.  [the] Amorite [Strong: 567 'Emoriy em-o-ree' probably a patronymic from an unused name derived from 559 in the sense of publicity, i.e. prominence; thus, a mountaineer; an Emorite, one of the Canaanitish tribes:--Amorite.]

2. “...king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.”

a. king [Strong: 4428 melek meh'-lek from 4427; a king:--king, royal.]

b. [of] Heshbon [Strong: 2809 Cheshbown khesh-bone' the same as 2808; Cheshbon, a place East of the Jordan:--Heshbon.] 

c. and [Strong: 853 'eth ayth apparent contracted from 226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly, self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely):--(as such unrepresented in English).]

d. [his] land [Strong: 776 'erets eh'-rets from an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land):--X common, country, earth, field, ground, land, X natins, way, + wilderness, world.]

e. begin [Strong: 2490 chalal khaw-lal' a primitive root (Compare 2470); properly, to bore, i.e. (by implication) to wound, to dissolve; figuratively, to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an "opening wedge"); denom. (from 2485) to play (the flute):--begin (X men began), defile, X break, defile, X eat (as common things), X first, X gather the grape thereof, X take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.]
