So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.

1). Gordon Lindsay, Old Testament Series: Not long after Othniel died Israel slipped, because of that, the LORD raised up Eglon, the Moabite king. Together with the Amalakites and the Ammonites, Eglon came against Israel and took Jericho, and the territory around it. Israel ended up serving Eglon 18 years.
