c. YLT: and be going rather unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

1). Jesus is directing his disciples in a very exclusive way here, telling them to only go to Israelites, not to Gentiles or to Samaritians. This echoed his own ministry.

a). Matthew 15:21-24 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

2). Jesus life and ministry was focused to the Jews initially, but after his death and resurrection the focus would be the whole earth. But during his life, his ministry would focus on the Jews.

a). Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
