Genesis 36:18


And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.

1. “And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife…”

c. Esau’s [Strong:  6215 `Esav ay-sawv' apparently a form of the passive participle of 6213 in the original sense of handling; rough (i.e. sensibly felt); Esav, a son of Isaac, including his posterity:--Esau.]


d. wife [Strong: 802 'ishshah ish-shaw' feminine of 376 or 582; irregular plural, nashiym {naw-sheem'}; a woman (used in the same wide sense as 582):--(adulter)ess, each, every, female, X many, + none, one, + together, wife, woman. Often unexpressed in English.]

b. Jeush [Strong: 3266 Yᵉʻûwsh, yeh-oosh'; from H5789; hasty; Jeush, the name of an Edomite and of four Israelites:—Jehush, Jeush.]


c. duke [Strong: 441 ʼallûwph, al-loof'; or (shortened) אַלֻּף ʼalluph; from H502; familiar; a friend, also gentle; hence, a bullock (as being tame; applied, although masculine, to a cow); and so, a chieftain (as notable, like neat cattle):—captain, duke, (chief) friend, governor, guide, ox.]


d. Jaalam [Strong: 3281 Yaʻlâm, yah-lawm'; from H5956; occult; Jalam, an Edomite:—Jalam.

f. Korah [Strong: 7141 Qôrach, ko'rakh; from H7139; ice; Korach, the name of two Edomites and three Israelites:—Korah.]
