 James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1. “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed…”

a. Confess [Strong: 1843 exomologéō, ex-om-ol-og-eh'-o; from G1537 and G3670; to acknowledge or (by implication, of assent) agree fully:—confess, profess, promise.]

1). World Outreach Curch 11/12/12 Who is the “ye” in the phrase “that ye may be healed”? “Ye” is the body of Christ. Each of us in the body of Christ is to pray for one another so those in the Church may be healed. We Christians will be healthier when we start praying for one another. We need to understand that we have great power in prayer. James 5:16 AMP puts it this way: “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Praying for each other can make the difference. You see, there are people in the Church and in the world who need your help to understand and take hold of their healing. Why? Some people have never even heard about divine healing. Isaiah 5:13 says, “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge….” Others have never been taught how to receive from God. These people need someone to go to the throne of God in prayer for them, praying that the eyes of their understanding are enlightened. (Eph.1:16.) You can be that someone! Your earnest, heartfelt, and continued prayers for another can make tremendous power available.
