Romans 4:15
Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there
is no transgression.

punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law
is to have no law to break!)
b. NIV: because the law brings
wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.
c. YLT: for the law doth work
wrath; for where law is not, neither istransgression.
d. Amplified Bible Classic: For
the Law results in [divine] wrath, but where there is no law there is no
transgression [of it either].
e. Worrell Translation: for the
law works wrath; but where there is no law, there is no transgression.
