Genesis 25:24

And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

a. NLT: And when the time came to give birth, Rebekah discovered that she did indeed have twins!

b. NIV: When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb.

1. “And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled…”

a. [And when her] days [Strong: 3117  yowm yome from an unused root meaning to be hot; a day (as the warm hours), whether literal (from sunrise to sunset, or from one sunset to the next), or figurative (a space of time defined by an associated term), (often used adverb):--age, + always, + chronicals, continually(-ance), daily, ((birth-), each, to) day, (now a, two) days (agone), + elder, X end, + evening, + (for) ever(-lasting, -more), X full, life, as (so) long as (... live), (even) now, + old, + outlived, + perpetually, presently, + remaineth, X required, season, X since, space, then, (process of) time, + as at other times, + in trouble, weather, (as) when, (a, the, within a) while (that), X whole (+ age), (full) year(-ly), + younger.]

c. were fulfilled [Strong: 4390 male' maw-lay' or malae (Esth. 7:5) {maw-law'}; a primitive root, to fill or (intransitively) be full of, in a wide application (literally and figuratively):--accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfil, (be, become, X draw, give in, go) full(-ly, -ly set, tale), (over-)flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), presume, replenish, satisfy, set, space, take a (hand-)full, + have wholly.]

1). Though Abrahams death at 175 years is recorded in Genesis 25:7-10, and Jacob and Esau’s birth is recorded in Genesis 25:24-26, Abraham actually lived 15 years into Jacob and Esau’s life. In Genesis 25:26 it says Isaac was 60 years old when his son’s were born, that would make Abraham 160 years old when they were born for Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born Genesis 21:5, and Abraham died at 175.  

2. “…behold, there were twins in her womb.”

a. behold [Strong: 2009 hinneh hin-nay' prolongation for 2005; lo!:--behold, lo, see.]

b. [there were] twins 8380 ta'owm taw-ome' or taom {taw-ome'}; from 8382; a twin (in plural only), literally or figuratively:--twins.]

c. in her womb [Strong: 990 beten beh'-ten from an unused root probably meaning to be hollow; the belly, especially the womb; also the bosom or body of anything:-- belly, body, + as they be born, + within, womb.]

1). During her pregnancy Rebekah had enquired of God why she was having a difficult pregnancy and the LORD had told her she was having twins.

a). Genesis 25:21-23 And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

25:22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the Lord.

25:23 And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
