Hebrews 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling
of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin.
a. NLT: This High Priest of ours understands our
weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
b. NIV: For we do not have a high priest who is
unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted
in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
c. YLT: For we have not a chief priest unable to
sympathise with our infirmities, but one tempted in all things in like
manner -- apart from sin;
d. Amplified Bible Classic: For we do not have a
High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a
shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability
to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as
we are, yet without sinning.
e. Worrell Translation: For we have not a High
Priest, unable to sympathize with our infirmities, but One Who hath been tempted
in all points like as we, apart from sin.
f. Wuest Translation: For we do not have a High
Priest who is not abe to enter experientially into a fellow feeling with our
infirmities, but one who has been tempted and tested in all points like as we
